While Sarah Jessica Parker was Busy Being Carrie, Matthew Broderick was Busy Being “Busy”

“Matty Cakes” was Getting “Sex In the City”, but not with SJP

We here at ShoeMinx Headquarters were saddened and shocked to hear that one of our favorite, most fabulous fashion idols is dealing with a fate worse than death: the knowledge that Ferris Bueller cheated on her. Apparently while she was filming Sex and the City: The Movie, Mr. Broderick was seen making late-night house calls to another woman. And apparently the other woman’s pet name for Broderick is… wait for it… “Matty Cakes”. First Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon, and now this!
Though we never really understood why a powerhouse like her was married to a man who we all assumed was gay, we have to ask the question - who does that guy think he is? His great accomplishment: playing a lazy, arrogant teenager twenty years ago in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Her great accomplishments: revolutionizing women’s television as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, and bringing her famous and fierce fashion to the masses in her affordable clothing line, Bitten.

…oh, and doing it all in unbelievable super high-heels.
So here is our message to SJP: thank you for being your wonderful, powerful, and iconic self. We are sorry that excuse of a man you are married to is such a loser. Know that you have changed our fashion lives and given us the bravery to be moguls in our own worlds and look fabulous doing it.
We’re still drooling over your unbelievably gorgeous photo shoot with Chris Noth in June’s Vogue – particularly those super hot silver and black Chanel pumps in the museum picture – and can’t wait until you ditch the zero and get with a hero… Is Jason Lewis single?
