Sasha & Malia Obama: Cutie Patooties In Inaugural Outfits

Our Dad Was Sworn-in As President And All We Got Are These Cute Clothes

First Lady and “Mom-in-Chief” Michelle Obama wasn’t the only fashion plate in the new First Family on inauguration day.

Amid the cheers  of “Obama! Obama! Obama” during the swearing in of the new POTUS was a chorus of “awwwwws” from the crowds of people that have adopted First Daughters Sasha and Malia as their own.  In fact, a building in downtown DC was draped with a “Welcome Sasha and Malia” sign.  Talk about clout!

The junior stylistas for the Hannah Montana set followed in their mom’s stylish footsteps in tres adorable winter looks that are sure to spark a “where can I get it?” frenzy.   Sasha (7) was sweetly attired in a peach-y pink coat with an orange ribbon, matching gloves and red ballet flats, while Malia (10) sported a similar look in navy with a matching ribbon tie, black gloves and flats (which were black or dark blue, hard to tell).  Both looks are from Crewcuts, J. Crew’s kids line.  Is it wrong that we hope those coats are available in adult sizes?  According to People, the wool coats were designed for the First Family and will be available in the Fall 2009 collection.

The girls also wore matching winter white coats from the mass-market retailer to the chilly “We Are One” concert.  The O’s can expect a gift basket to arrive at the White House from J. Crew’s corporate offices as a thank you for all the free advertising any day now.
