Eighteen-year-old high school senior and hockey player Levi Johnston has been revealed as the father of Bristol Palin’s baby. Bristol, who is 5-months pregnant, is the 17-year-old daughter of recently named GOP Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. The couple has been dating for about a year in their Alaska hometown, where it is said the pregnancy is an “open secret”.

Change the locale and cast of characters, and this story bears a striking resemblance to news of Jamie Lynn Spear’s pregnancy, which was confirmed in the pages of OK! magazine. The 16-year-old actress and her 18-year-old fiancé have a 2-month old-daughter. Bristol has already been pictured in the pages of People magazine in a group portrait with her family and the McCains. The Alaska Governor was named as the Republican pick for the second highest office in the nation on Friday, but the news cycle quickly spun from “breaking the glass ceiling” to rampant internet rumors that Bristol may have been the mother of Palin’s youngest son, Trig, who was born in April.
