Mary Kate and Ashley Team Up with Steve Madden to Launch Their Own Shoe Line
Olsen Twins Launch Influence at NYC Barnes and Noble
A Bonus List of Do’s and Don’ts with Every Purchase
Do not look directly at Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen or turn your eyes in their direction lest you expire from their utter magnificence.
Do not speak to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen-adore them in worshipful silence.
The former Full House stars were in full-fledged diva mode at the signing of their new book, Influence, going so far as to issue a list of draconian rules to the fans who flocked to Barnes and Noble in Manhattan for the privilege of breathing the same air as the tiny tycoons. The rules of limited engagement:
- Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen will be with us for a limited time. They will only be signing copies of their book, Influence. They will not be speaking, reading or taking questions.
- Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen will NOT sign any memorabilia or product other than Influence. There is a limit of one book per person, and your one book must be purchased here.
- Anyone approaching the signing table must have paid for the book and be wearing a B&N wristband. One person, one wristband, one book.
- You will collect your signed book at the signing table. If you have paid for any additional copies, a staff member will provide you with those before you exit the space.
- There is no photography allowed. You must put away your camera or cell phone before approaching the signing table. The authors will not pose for photos.
Nice. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, doesn’t it. Who do they think they are, JLo?
At least the designing divas titans ditched their usual dumpster-diving remnants for what are no doubt expensively-made-to-look-cheap items from their clothing line. But what’s an Olsen without towering heels? Mary-Kate dressed up her serious-scribe worthy LBD with black YSL platform pumps, while Ashley - I’m the edgy one, ya’ll! - stepped it up in the gray version and black liquid leggings. This is about as much collective joy as we’ve seen on the faces of perennially pouty Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. But if they’re expecting fans to shell out $40 for their tome, you’d think they could at least act like they’re happy to be there.

The Olsen Twins are set to pair up with Steve Madden to spread their fashion influence beyond their clothing line. While we wait in giddy anticipation to see what designs spring from their sartorially off-kilter minds, shop ShoeCompare.com for platform pumps like these Madden Vivvaa platform pumps.

Barack, what were you thinking with those shoes….you may have been going state to state but its no excuse for overlooking the most important part of a groomed man….make a note in your diary and go visit your nearest cobbler and get those soles sorted!…in the mean time, I think a pair of prada’s would suit your refined character and give you the overall polished look.
