Leona Lewis Rocks Olympic Closing Ceremony

A Star is Born in Beijing

Leona Lewis and Jimmy Page thrilled spectators around the world with a rousing performance of Led Zepplin’s classic hit Whole Lotta Love at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.

The legendary guitarist teamed up with the Bleeding Love hitmaker for a special one-off performance at the Olympic stadium in Beijing on Sunday to mark the end of the 2008 games - and the official handover ahead of the London 2012 event.

Lewis took on Robert Plant’s vocals while suspended at the top of a metal podium while Page hammered out the guitar riffs from below. The singer was eventually lowered down to Page so they could perform the final section of the song together.

ShoeMinx had a blast watching the closing ceremony and will keep Miss Leona’s feet on Red Carpet Watch from here on in!
