Lady Gaga, Queen of PVC, Wants to Launch Fashion Line

We Suggest Starting With a Pair of Pants . . .

“Just Dance” diva Lady Gaga is making the most of her 15-minutes. Famous as much for her pants-aversion and penchant for running around outside in nothing more than bedazzled panties and sheer hose as for her synth beats, the platinum blonde dance queen is reportedly in talks to launch a “pants line” aimed at teenage girls.

We’re not sure if this means the line will consist of only pants, or if she’ll actually start wearing pants.  But she should.  At some point shock value eventually just becomes “Lady Gaga’s butt again?  Eh, whatever.  Anyone have change for the Coke machine?”

She told Mirror reporters: “I can’t wait to do my own line. It’s definitely something I want to do in the next year as I do have my own style. I’m already talking to my boy Akon about it.”

Hip-hop star Akon discovered the singer and is reportedly in full support of her fashion pursuits: “She’ll walk around in London in her underwear and you watch, everyone will catch on.”  (Pssst, Akon! She already did and so far everyone remains appropriately attired.)

LG makes her own stage costumes so at least she can identify a sewing machine when she sees one unlike many other celebrity-designers, but latex, leotards and PVC bras . . . so not mall appropriate.  Unless she’s targeting the slutty teen demographic.  Chances are there’s a pole involved.

We understand Gaga’s strong propensity to fearlessly strut around in leotards with her control-top panty hose showing.  It’s schtick.  We get it.  And not that we’re prudes, but encouraging a bunch of teens to think that pants - or any kind of bottoms for that matter - are optional, is just asking for trouble of the “It’s 10pm.  Do you know where your daughter is?” variety.  Miss “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich” could break into the whole wearing pants thing slowly to get used to the idea.  Maybe start with some leggings. She can even wear them under her leotards if sporting them like a normal person with a long shirt is just too mundane.  Hey, Lindsay has some she might like . . .

A bold personality needs an equally bold shoe, like these Steve Madden ‘Davin’ booties.
