Kylie Minogue Awarded the Order of the British Empire

Celebrating her Order of the British Empire Award (OBE), ShoeMinx spotted pop princess Kylie Minogue in two perfect outfits – one for the palace and the other for the pub. Kylie received her OBE from Prince Charles yesterday, dazzling the otherwise staid gathering in the perfect Yves Saint Laurent star print dress. Kylie, though wearing 5-inch strappy gold sandals, still had to crane her neck to greet the Prince!

A little later at the pub, she stepped out with family and friends in a flirty, violet Lanvin cocktail dress. In a totally surreal sideshow, she apparently received a seven bum salute from a posse of rugby players who’ve obviously watched one too many seasons of Punk’d and Jackass.

We like Alexander McQueen for accepting Commonwealth awards of distinction… Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet, take note… receiving a OBE from Prince Charles the is just about the only occasion where a girl can wear these full-throttle:
