Jessica Alba’s Red Carpet Pajama Party in Roger Vivier

Hugh Hefner Called And He Wants His Smoking Jacket Back

From slip dresses to corsets to visible bra straps, fashions usually reserved for the bedroom have been an inspiration for designers for awhile.  Dolce & Gabbana are just the latest to translate looks from the boudoir to the runway, showcasing lounging pajamas for spring 2009.  Of course in these sucky economic times, only the very rich can afford to look like they don’t have anyway in particular to go everyday.  And despite the price tag, it’s not really a look that can be pulled off in Real Life-unless you’re Hugh Hefner.

Case in point:  Jessica Alba showed up for a screening of My Bloody Valentine 3-D in her D&G Sleepytime Collection best.  Now, we’re all for watching scary movies in your PJs.  And we’ve even dashed to 7-11 in our jammies. But you usually want to step it up for the red carpet.  At least Jessica left the bunny slippers at home, pairing her look with Roger Vivier heels.  While bed-head hair can be sexy, looking like you’ve just rolled out of bed, not so much.  We give her points for fab taste in footwear and assume sleep deprivation from being a new mum is the explanation for the rest.  But just this one time, Jess.
