Richard Branson and Kate Hudson Toast Virgin Unite at Vision Co’s Luxury Lounge

Glowing: Justin and Sophie Trudeau Expecting Baby No. 2!

Where does Sir Richard Branson host his Canadian friends? Jordan Bitove’s Luxury Lounge at Lobby in Yorkville. Created by Bitove’s Vision|Co., Luxury Lounge is a new addition to this year’s festival. A quiet place for celebrity cocktails, film studio dinners, media interviews, and after-parties, the venue attracted Branson to host his Virgin Unite Celebrity Lunch. He introduced his Virgin Unite award recipients Kate Hudson and Petra Nemcova to his high-profile philanthropic VIPs in the Luxury Lounge’s sumptuous space.

ASC PR’s Suzanne Cohon and Alexandra Weston ignited a branding coup for sponsors Pierre-Jouet and Motorola by keeping Vision Co’s TIFF affairs exclusive and elegant. The consummate PR pros posed with a beaming Sophie and Justin Trudeau.

Others items on the itinerary - the pre-party for Management, starring Jennifer Aniston, as well as the One X One Pre-Party with Matt Damon, Wyclef Jean and John Legend.

Vision Co. head Jordan Bitove and his wife Nicole host Richard Branson in style.

The crown jewel, literally, of the Luxury Lounge is Nicholas Mellamphy’s Wardrobe Lounge. Competition for inclusion is fierce as Mellamphy curates the best in emerging design talent: Lucullen, Nada, Afshin Feiz, Dean Davidson, Mikhael Kale and the meteor-on-the-rise genius of the Greta Constantine label. Celebrities outfitted by the lounge include Mena Suvari, Lisa Ray, Andre 3000 and Uma Thurman. For your own taste of Mellamphy’s luxurious style, visit his MOMA-esque store Hazel on the first floor of The Hazelton Hotel in Yorkville.

Hazel is the only place in Toronto where a shoe lover can unite with such sought-after labels as Courtney Crawford, Bruno Frisoni and Giambattista Valli. We love these Courtney Crawford shoes, shop for couture shoes at here.

Paris Hilton, Benji Madden, Kevin Zegers, Scott Speedman and Jim Sturgess Re-Charge at the IT Lounge

Teva Shoes, Fila Jackets, Ripzone Hoodies: Keeping Celebs Cozy

Walking the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival is crazy posh, yes. But it’s also a bit of a circus on stilts for celebs promoting their latest projects. But it takes more than a great pair of Vivier shoes to survive TIFF’s whirl of galas, parties and press conferences.

“Surviving festival week isn’t easy. By day three most celebrities are tired, eating poorly and feeling short on steam,” says Natasha Koifman, president of the Canadian public relations and marketing firm NKPR Inc. “Even if it’s just for an hour, stars can put on our cozy Fila track suits, sip a cappuccino and wind down between appearances.”

To combat that burn-out, the IT Lounge gifting suite at The Windsor Arms Hotel is dishing up a celebrity swag bag fill with energizing survival essentials. And Natasha Koifman is the most savvy and connected host, looking movie-star gorgeous herself. She looked better in skinny denim than most of the teenage starlets coming through her lounge!

From Fila’s highly coveted “F-Word Collection” of organic tees to Teva’s bold and brilliant eco-friendly walking shoes, Ripzone and Powder Room’s Vancouver Olympics-bound snowboard jackets and tuques, Olay’s new Definity Treatments, guilt-free packs of soothing Maxwell House Maxiccino, stars get the right kind of festival fuel in these grab bags.

Partnering with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto, the IT Lounge will also give A-listers the chance to donate their swag bags to the charity. They’ll also ask visiting celebs to sign a Wall of Heroes and share their stories about their personal heroes.

Teva sandals shoes are ideal whether walking in the city or spending the day on a boat. ShoeMinx wore her Tevas all over Boulder Beach in South Africa to the dramatic cliffs of the Gap in Sydney, Australia! They are simply indestructible. And the best part? They don’t take up much space in suitcases. We prefer these Teva slide-in sandals over Crocs any day…

And these are our favorite sport Teva, the Women’s Wraptor Breathe. A stretchy, comfortable upper coupled with Wraptor technology makes for a lightweight, minimal all-purpose shoe built on a trail running platform. The Wraptor Breathe can take you from the airport to the gym and even for a jog around the lake - the ultimate in versatility. Quick-drying with a rubber outsole to maximize traction and durability. Shop for the best price in Teva brand shoes here.
