We love these Skechers. Check them out in this new style here.

Without a doubt, Miley Cyrus just might be the most popular star in the entire tween world. It’s no surprise that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie topped Forbes’ 2008 Power List, ranking the top celebrities based on money and fame. But there were some surprising names on the list this year – primarily Lauren Conrad and Miley Cyrus.

Miley’s appearance on the list (she came in at No. 35) comes as less of a surprise than The Hills star, Lauren Conrad. We’re not surprised to see the 15-year-old’s name on the list considering all the work she’s been doing lately. Between her show, Hannah Montana, her Best of Both Worlds concert tour and her knack for creating controversy, there’s no doubt that the name Miley Cyrus has made its way onto the Hollywood scene with a vengeance this year.

Lindsay Price wears Valentino on the set of Lipstick Jungle

NY Social Diary: First Stop Valentino, Second Stop Cipriani

The end of HBO’s Sex and the City left prime time network television with some awfully big, um, shoes to fill. On NBC’s Lipstick Jungle, Lindsay Price plays fashion designer, Victory Ford. The show is based on the successful novel of the same name by Candace Bushnell (author of Sex and the City too), and the character of Victory is apparently based on the life of New York designer, Cynthia Rowley.

What to say about these Valentino-wearing power babes duking it out in the big city? Lipstick Jungle is to Sex and the City what The Artist Formerly Known as Prince was to the original Prince – a brand extension best forgotten. Why mess with what works? Whereas SATCS minted a genuine, innovative modern heroine – the sexually explicit but still romantic good girl – LJ is content to play dress-up with a gaggle of whiny “have-it-all-but-want-more” paper dolls.
