Guiseppe Zanotti Party Draws Celebrity Adoration
Eva Mendes and Lou Doillon Celebrate Zanotti in Paris, France
Guiseppe Zanotti at the feet of a gigglingly girlish Eva Mendes. This was the scene at The Ritz in Paris as celebrities and socialites converged to win favour with Zanotti. In the Cinderella-Celebrity factory, this equation is usually the other way around. Not for Zanotti. Seems as though celebs are now courting him in the delicate art of “Make Me Your Muse”. Since designing the “Fish Shoe” famously worn by Samantha in the recent Sex and The City film, this cult-hit shoe designer is on every fashion-obsessed celeb’s radar.
Zanotti is a wonderful throwback to the days when shoe designers played towards luxury and fantasy in their work. His recent flight of fancy as evidenced in his summer collection is reminiscent Roger Vivier, Andre Perugia, Rene Coavilla.
In addition, designer extraordinaries Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler will be teaming up with Zanotti to create a full collection of Proenza Schouler women’s footwear. The first installment of shoes hit stores just in time for resort season. The entire collection will release in September for the Spring ‘09 season. ShoeMinx cannot contain her excitement for the New Sexy Shoemakers Alliance!
As ShoeMinx is a huge fan of rebellious modern muse and up-and-coming designer Lou Doillon; nice to see her cozying up to Zanotti. Perhaps a prelude to the next hot collaborative relationship in fashion?
