The jury is still out on whether or not wearing dark stockings with open-toe shoes is fashionable or a faux-pas. The look is haute on the runway but can be a hot mess in real life. Case in point: Katie Holmes’ interpretation of the look, snapped as she was leaving the set of ABC’s Eli Stone. The shoes are stellar but with the tights and that “outfit” . . . not even Project Runway’s Tim Gunn could make this work. Gal pal Victoria Beckham needs to stage a fashion intervention, stat!
