The Love Groupie: Starring Jennifer Aniston?

Nothing says summer love like going on a US tour with your new boyfriend. We haven’t seen this kind of A-List Lollapalooza since Gwyneth famously wept offstage while Chris Martin crooned “Fix You” in front of a fixated crowd of thousands.

Will this last? Will Mayer start to scribe songs for his devoted new groupie? Will he spin off another hit like “No Seriously, Your Body is a TOTAL Freaking Wonderland”, now that he’s traded in the dubiously augmented likes of Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt for the A-List Jennifer Aniston? So many questions!

Here we see Jennifer Aniston taking on the role of smitten girlfriend-turned-savvy tour photographer. Last weekend, as Jennifer watched her man perform, he mused cryptically in between sets saying, “Every relationship someone steps into might somehow shake you up a bit. So I’m gonna take my time a little bit.”

Hmmm… upon hearing that, we’re pretty sure Jen was madly txting Oprah, Courtney Cox and publicist Stephen Huvane faster than you can say “Shiloh”. I mean, wouldn’t you txt your BFFs and try to decipher what the hell “take my time a little bit” means? That sounds bad right… Non-committal?

E! News broke the story that the actress has gone groupie, joining Mayer on his tour bus. Mayer kicked off the U.S. leg of his summer road show Wednesday night, with Aniston by his side backstage. The couple arrived together at the 2008 Milwaukee Summerfest at the Marcus Amphitheater on his rig. “They were on John’s tour bus hanging out most of the time before the show,” Kristi Chuckel, publicist for Summerfest, tells E! News. “She was backstage standing in the wings, hanging out and watching the show,” says Chuckel.
