And it may be winter, but the leading lights of Hollywood were happy to show a little skin on Golden Globes night, with the biggest fashion trend a floor-length strapless gown. Everyone from Beyonce to Kate Winslet was adorned in red-carpet skimming gowns highlighting all of the actresses’ gorgeous sculpted shoulders and toned arms. Beyone’s off-white fitted Elie Saab gown that had a little extra sparkle thanks to curved seams, which ran the length of her dress, and a thigh-high slit.

Black strapless gowns were plentiful on the red carpet too. Golden Globe winner for Best Supporting Actress, Drama, Kate Winslet, wore a fitted ebony dress, emphasizing her sexy middle with a belt complimented by a diamond broach. Amy Adams wore a delicate black gown with a train, while “House’s” Lisa Edelstein wore a similar strapless number with a leg slit.
British actress Kate Beckinsale was breathtaking in a strapless J Mindel gown accentuated at the top by gorgeous ruffles, and at the bottom, by a train.

Anne Hathaway loves looking classic, and there’s no better classic designer than Armani Privé. Her navy dress was stunning and worked well with her pale skin. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt looked relaxed and cool. She wore silver, which is different for her, and she deserves some props for it.
