Where are Disney Bookends Zac and Vanessa?

Is that? Why yes, it is! Usually mentioned in tangential terms as an accessory to her Disney bookends, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, High School Musical starlet Ashley Tisdale walked the red carpet solo for the ALMA Awards.

Like her designer label fanatic HSM character Sharpay Evans, Tisdale has auditioned many looks as she’s tried to find her fashion footing. After a few false starts (basically all of 2003 - 2004), she’s put her reported $3 million dollar movie check to good use in a bright, yellow dress accessorized with an unexpectedly bold and sophisticated aubergine clutch and matching Stuart Weitzman peep toes. Fashion-forward without being forced; youthful but not too precious.

The back lot buzz in Hollywood hints that Disney is toying with the idea of a fourth song and dance flick centered on real-life couple Efron and Hudgens: High School Musical 4 - The College Years.

A better title would be:

We’re-Going-To-Milk-This-Cash-Cow-Til-The-Actors-Need-Hip-Replacements

ShoeMinx speculates that Tisdale’s skin-baring look might be a signal to casting directors that she’s ready to graduate to older roles that don’t require her to bust a move at random intervals.
