America Ferrera: Keepin’ it Real on set in Brooklyn

Gag Reel > Keeping America *Ugly* is a Full Time Job

This was the scene on the set of Ugly Betty yesterday. We here at ShoeMinx rarely gag at the sight of black pumps - but kudos to ABC for bringing our oatmeal back up. Those bows with that belt - crazy hideous! We can see the costume department is working overtime to perfect the title character’s signature “On a Day Pass from the Bushwick Group Home” look. Seriously, it must take a lot of time and work to get her looking so over-the-top frumpy - she’s such a beautiful girl.

Under the blazing hot sweaty sun, the actors still had to look good fresh- not an easy task in the intense heat. We’re surprised apres ski wool slippers were the downtime slipper of choice?!

ShoeMinx would have offered America a pair of these:

crocs

Say what you will about the lazy, ubiquitous look of Crocs, but they’re popular for a reason.

So. Ridiculously. Comfortable.

They’re ventilated, slip resistant, anti-microbial, super lightweight and feature an orthopedic foot bed.

At www.surfanddirt.com you can even shop for crocs with your collegiate crest! Search for the most competitive prices on Surf And Dirt’s fabulous inventory here.

Actually With America’s footwear choice you would be surprised how cozy those are, especially if they are lined with fleece the same insulation that keeps your toes warm in winter, keep you cool in summer.

Who knew? I always wondered why actresses wore feather down parkas in Central Park the middle of August.

Now I know. Thanks so much for your comment.

Gregs… are you a film director?

Seriously… is this Craig Brewer or Noah Baumbach I’m shoe-minx-mingling with?

Opps, sorry Greg… I now see under the ShoeMinx Admin “hood” that you’re the manufacturer of a fine line of Manitoba-made Mukluks. My bad.

    Your site is beautiful.

And now I’m embarrassed for fantasizing that you directed The Squid and The Whale and want to take me out for fish and chips. And a pint.
