Jennifer Aniston & John Mayer Getting Friendly Again
“Team Aniston” Tees Stay in the Closet Awhile Longer

While the rest of the world was caught up with the Dynasty-esque details of the Madonna-Ritchie divorce, former Friends star Jennifer Aniston quietly reunited with Rebound Gigolo, musician John Mayer following a very public breakup a few months ago. Seems Jen doesn’t seem to mind John’s penchant for sharing the intimate moments of his love life with TMZ and blog posts. *We think it’s vile.*
Not only have the canoodling couple been spending time together in LA and NY, Jen helped John celebrate his 31st birthday. But she didn’t welcome the “play on, player” back unconditionally. The Heavier Things musician had to pinkie swear to keep his douchery to a minimum. According to a source: “John has cut right back on his drinking and has pledged to quit smoking roll-up cigarettes - two things that really annoyed Jennifer.” He also promised to exnay on putting the deets about their romance on blast-ay. Mayer even did his best re-enactment of the “In Your Eyes” scene from the movie Say Anything, writing a love song especially for the Break-Up star.

This sudden openness seems suspiciously convenient. If you stop and smell the PR, it reeks of a strategery move to get ahead of those pesky tabloids and the oh-so-easy zingers that are surely already written and ready to be published when Jen’s new movie, He’s Just Not That Into You, opens.
And with Angelina Jolie back in the H’wood spotlight looking freakishly good after giving birth to twins, like yesterday, the rekindled romance gives Jen plausible deniability that she is not at all jealous and weepy that her ex upgraded and spawned the most ridiculously cute children EVER. Adding to the eau du chicanery: the Maniston reconciliation came wrapped up and tied with a baby-on-board bow and vaguely bump-ish looking snaps, just in time to counter the Brangelina domestic bliss pics in W magazine.
Frankly, if Jen is using Mayer to grab headlines, he’s a bit played out. At the rate he’s going, he might as well rent himself out as a professional escort for the lovelorn. To erase the whiff of dating desperation, she’d do better to drop that zero (for good), put on some super sexy stepping out heels, like these Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, and get herself a hero. “Criminal Minds” star Shemar Moore could be the right man for the role. The TV hottie recently admitted to crushing on the love-challenged actress to talk show host Ellen. Or go gay. Even Brangelina can’t compete with that.

Paris, Jessica and Gwen: Blond Bombshells Battle for Tops in Celebrity Shoe Sales
It’s OK to Admit Liking Celebrity Footwear Collections.

We all have secrets that we’re a wee bit embarrassed by, things that we’d rather leave buried in dark, cobwebby corners. Maybe it’s knowing all the dance moves to N’Sync’s song “Bye Bye Bye.” One secret that many share, but few admit, is that they actually like some of the shoes in celebrity collections. Women talk openly about their love for Manolo, Louboutin, Gucci or Prada in worshipful tones. But admitting that Jessica Simpson or Paris Hilton actually have some pretty cute shoes in their lines or that you (gasp) actually own a pair? No one says it out loud-it’s like gossiping about your friend’s affair in the women’s rest room after making sure all the stalls are empty.

Celeb footwear may lack the snob appeal of high-end designers but are certainly competitive in the heel race for consumers’ cash. Celebrity mogul Jessica Simpson’s line is the number one sales leader over names like Christian Lacroix, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Pucci, and Steve Madden. Harajuku Girl and designer Gwen Stefani, who arguably has a greater fashion footprint than Simpson, is second with her L.A.M.B. collection. Heiress of Hype Paris Hilton’s line is also reported to be doing well with her debut line; her fall collection was recently launched at Macy’s in Las Vegas.

There’s no way to know if women are buying celebrity shoes because of a celebrity’s star power, or if it’s simply a decision based on shoe design. Either way, a cute shoe is a cute shoe and looking fabulous is what counts.
